Matthew Nadeau

President

Matthew Nadeau is a Financial Representative with Modern Woodmen of America.  A graduate of University of Maine at Presque Isle, he is currently working on his MBA at Southern New Hampshire University. He has prior experience in Hospital, Clinical, and Leadership roles. He lives in Readfield with his wife Molly and children Mallory and Maurice, where they raise chickens and sheep.  

Linda J. Huff

Vice President

Linda Huff, owner of Kinwell Associates, has been consulting for nearly ten years. Linda has a Masters in Public Administration and BA in Business Administration.

She specializes in projection evaluations, data analysis, and report writing. “I like data analysis and helping people make informed decisions,” Linda explains.

Linda’s 25 years as a state employee working in program management, epidemiology, and research also helps her meet her clients’ needs. In between working, Linda stays busy as a board member on the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber, Winthrop Maine Historical Society, and Maine Futurama Foundation, which offers scholarships to women who seek to continue their education.

Nicole Thomas

Secretary

Nicole Thomas is the founder and owner of the Mug & Brush Barbershop. She has been active in the Winthrop community for more than 20 years. She brings her experience and knowledge to the chamber as past president of the Winthrop PTA and the Sports Boosters. Nicole and her husband Eben live in Winthrop and have two adult children, Madelyn and Ben. She enjoys gardening and all the outdoor activities central Maine has to offer.

Ashlee Dixon

Treasurer

Ashlee Dixon is the Branch Manager at the Winthrop Branch of Kennebec Savings Bank. She has been in the banking industry since 2007 and full time with KSB since 2012. Ashlee resides in Winthrop with her husband Josh and their two children, Charlotte and Oliver. She enjoys dancing and teaches one night a week at Dance Unlimited. She also enjoys hiking and being outdoors, which Maine has plenty to explore.

Roger Audette

Board Member

Roger J. Audette is the Owner of Audette Construction LLC. He has been building houses in and around Winthrop since 1982. Roger is a graduate of Winthrop High School and the Paramedic Academy at KVTC. Roger served for 18-years as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Winthrop Fire Department including 5-years as the Fire Chief. Roger worked full-time as a Firefighter Paramedic for the City of Augusta Fire-Rescue for 28 Years including 15 years as Fire Chief retiring in 2020. The Audette family has long standing generational roots in Winthrop with his Grandfather serving as Road Commissioner and Uncle Roger Audette founding Audette’s Hardware. Roger and his wife Donna live in Readfield and have three beautiful children. When they are not working their spend time at their camp in Greenville. (Term 2023-2026)

Tavis Hasenfus

Board Member, Chair - Nominating committee

Tavis ‘Rock’ Hasenfus has been practicing law in Winthrop since arriving at Levey, Wagley, Putman & Eccher in the summer of 2014. A 2006 graduate of Winthrop High School, he excelled as a student-athlete and civic leader. In 2010, he graduated from the University of Maine, where he majored in philosophy, minored in ethics, religion, and anthropology. A 2013 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, Tavis has been a lifelong resident of the Winthrop area and has strong ties to the community. He has worked as a substitute teacher in the Winthrop Public Schools and served many years as a lifeguard and waterfront director and baseball and football coach in Winthrop.

Tavis has volunteered on the Winthrop Recreation Committee and is the President-Elect of the Friends of Cobbossee Watershed non-profit. He loves practicing law in his hometown and has established a practice where he can meet the legal needs of this diverse community. (Term 2021-2024)

Amanda Lee

Board Member, Chair - Business After Hours committee

Amanda Lee is the Branch Manager/Residential Lender at the Jay branch of Franklin Savings Bank. She has been in the banking industry since 1999 and graduated from the University of Maine in Farmington in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics. Amanda is an active member of the community by serving on the board of two local baseball leagues and is the current secretary for the Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce Executive Board. Amanda resides in Wilton with her husband and two children where they operate a small goat hobby farm. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time stream side at the family’s camp in Kingfield. Jackson Ladd

Jackson Ladd is a Real Estate Agent at Homestead Realty. He grew up in Winthrop and has loved being a part of this tight-knit community. He graduated from Winthrop High School in 2019 and from Thomas College in 2023. His time at WHS and Thomas College was spent being a leader on and off the athletic fields. Being a resource and trustworthy part of his community helps fulfill his passion for helping others. Prior to Homestead Realty, he worked at Dexter Enterprises in Portland for the Alfond Family, PFG North Center in Augusta, and the Augusta Country Club.  (Term 2023-2026)

Timothy McDonald

Board Member

Timothy McDonald moved to Monmouth in 1979, where he met his future wife while visiting relatives. Tim and his wife Susan recently celebrated their 35th anniversary. Timothy is a licensed Master Electrician and worked at Carleton Woolen Mills for 20 years, where he advanced from 2nd shift electrician to facilities and project engineer. Currently, he owns and operates TMAC Computers, which opened in 1995. He is also involved in economic development efforts in the area, serving on the Monmouth Economic Development Committee, Western Kennebec Economic Development Alliance, Kennebec Valley Council of Governments, and the Monmouth Board of Selectmen. He is also a Monmouth Lions Club member. (Term 2021-2024)

Lonney Steeves

Board Member

Lonney Steeves began working as the director of the Winthrop Area YMCA in August 1984. During that time, he has overseen growth of the Winthrop YMCA from four to nearly 20 programs; participation has increased from 600 to over 2,000. Born in Presque Isle, Maine, Lonney received a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a minor in Political Science from the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1981. He has coached several teams at Winthrop High School, including the junior varsity girls and boys basketball, soccer, and golf teams, as well as track & field. (Term 2021-2024)

Bill Stone

Board Member

Bill Stone received his doctorate from Vanderbilt University, focusing his research on career development issues. He is a National Certified Career Counselor and has worked as a high school guidance director, along with teaching at the University of Maine. He is retired from his service as President and CEO of Promising Futures, a Winthrop business where he has worked since 2000. Bill and his wife Catherine have enjoyed living in Winthrop since 2000, especially when their grandchildren visit from the mid-west. His interests include genealogy, gardening, and playing guitar with the group Stone Quarry in local restaurants. (Term 2023-2026)

Linda Easterbrooks

Executive Director

Linda Easterbrooks opened the new business Winthrop Workspace in June 2022, where members have 24/7 access to shared office space. Linda has worked with many area residents and businesses to help them work with their technology, leading to her current business of Tech Coach Linda. A graduate of Houlton High School and Wheaton College, she was a software engineer prior to “retiring” to raise her children. She has been on the Board of Directors for Wonder Awhile Nursery School, coached high school Robotics and Math Team, and taught classes at Winthrop Adult Ed and Capitol Computers. Linda currently serves as a Trustee of the Charles M. Bailey Library, also serving on the board of directors of the Winthrop Public Library Foundation. Linda became Executive Director in May 2023
