Welcome to the Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce
The Winthrop Lakes Region is a great place to experience the renowned natural
beauty of Maine. The many lakes, ponds, and streams as well as the hundreds of acres of stunning farmlands and undeveloped woodlands provide habitat for
an abundance of wildlife. From boating, fishing, hiking, and other recreational activities to
businesses, services, and shopping, we are proud of what our region has to offer
and want you to feel welcome here.
Our friendly towns and villages abound with opportunities and places for entertainment and relaxation. There are charming eateries and shops, historic landmarks, waterfront parks, and more. In addition, there are many fairs, festivals, and other community events. Each year, the Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce proudly sponsors the Fourth of July Fireworks, the Sidewalk Art Show, the Holiday Parade, and other regional events that are open for all to enjoy.

About Us:
Wonder Awhile Nursery School is a child’s world, offering meaningful educational experiences suited to the maturity level and physical development of each child attending. Because playing is the child’s natural way of learning, (it is his work), a good nursery school creates a challenging environment and activities geared to the development of young children physically, mentally, and socially.
The emphasis in our nursery school is not on preparing the child for sub-primary or looking ahead to next year, but rather upon helping him live richly and fully at his present age. This is recognized by those deeply concerned about early childhood education to be the best preparation for the years ahead. |
