Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Program – Reggie Parsons
October 9 @ 7:30 am - 8:30 am
In 2023, Maine became the 13th state to establish a paid leave program. Beginning in 2026, eligible workers in the private and public sector will have up to 12 weeks of paid time off available to them for family or medical reasons including illness, to care for a relative, or for the birth of a child.
Our speaker Reggie Parson currently serves as Deputy Director for the Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Program (PFML). He will provide an overview of the new program including progress on the implementation timeline, along with an opportunity for Q and A.
Ted’s Trackside Grill will be providing the breakfast. $10 per person, can be paid in advance on-line, or at the door (cash or check only)
Breakfast meetings are held at the Winthrop Commerce Center conference room, 149 Main St, Winthrop. If you enter from the parking lot, it’s just down the hall on the right, the room next to Sunrise Bagel Cafe. It is labelled “Meeting Room”. If the door is closed, come in, help yourself to breakfast, and join us.
Please let us know if you plan to attend!
