Bill Card, SBA presents “What do I want my business to do for me?”
Everybody is different, with different goals. What do you want your business to do for you? Do you want to grow bigger and bigger? Is it partly, or mostly, about the money/profits? Is it about quality of life?
Bill Card is an Economic Development Specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Maine District Office. He has been with the agency for fourteen years, focusing on creating high-visibility SBA events and developing and delivering trainings and workshops to small businesses in Maine.
Prior to joining the SBA, Bill was a Regional Manager for U.S. Senator Susan M. Collins for 9 years, where he was responsible for creating and facilitating economic development projects in Coastal and Central Maine. Prior to joining Senator Collins’s staff, Bill started and ran his own small business, Title Checks Inc., for 15 years. Bill is a 1984 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and received his MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Bill lives in Bristol with his wife Jennifer, and their two boys, Liam and Owen.
Ted’s Trackside Grille will be providing the breakfast. $10 per person, can be paid in advance on-line, or at the door (cash or check only)

Doors open at 7:15, the session begins at 7:30. Breakfast meetings are held at the Winthrop Commerce Center conference room, 149 Main St, Winthrop. Directions: Follow the signs for Maine General / Winthrop Family Medicine / Winthrop Pediatrics, and park in the lot behind the building. Using that entrance, go past the front desk, down the hall past the Cafe, and the conference room is the next door on the right. If you use the entrance on Main Street, you will need to take the elevator or stairs down to the bottom level and follow the maze. If the door is closed, please just open it, come in, help yourself to breakfast, and join us!
